Terms of use
The rules for using Bodyvault, including how the Pro subscription and the lifetime purchase work.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Lapaas, who makes Bodyvault (“we”). By downloading or using Bodyvault you agree to them. If you got Bodyvault from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your download and purchases.
A wellness app, not medical advice
Bodyvault is a wellness app for training, nutrition and recovery. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. Its scores, plans, targets, Meal Impact results, lab and cycle insights and Coach answers are general information, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor before you start a new training or eating plan, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or take medication, and never change a medication or ignore medical advice because of the app. Don’t use Bodyvault for contraception or in an emergency: call your local emergency number.
Free and Pro
Bodyvault is free to download and use. Bodyvault Pro unlocks extra features, listed in the app and on our home page. You can get Pro in two ways, both bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play.
Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing subscription
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase or, if you start with the free trial, when the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically every month at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel the subscription in your store account. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription.
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per Apple Account or Google account. You’re charged when it ends unless you cancel before then: at least 24 hours before it ends on the App Store, or any time before it ends on Google Play. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. If we offer another introductory price, the app shows its terms before you start.
- If the price changes, the store tells you in advance and, where its rules require, asks for your agreement.
Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase
A single payment that unlocks Pro on the store account you bought it with. It doesn’t renew and needs no further payments.
Prices, restoring and family sharing
- Prices are set for each country, include any taxes the store collects, and are shown in the app before you buy.
- A purchase belongs to the store account you used. Restore it on another device signed in to the same account, with Restore purchase in the app. Purchases don’t transfer between the App Store and Google Play.
- Family sharing is available as the App Store or Google Play allows for each purchase.
Refunds
Apple and Google process all payments, so they handle refunds under their own policies. For the App Store, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, follow Google Play’s refund steps. Nothing in these terms limits refund rights you have under the law where you live.
Your data and backups
Your data lives on your device and we keep no copy, so we can’t restore it if your phone is lost, reset or damaged. Make backups: an export, or a backup to your own Google Drive. Keep your backup passphrase safe; without it, nobody, including us, can open the backup. You are responsible for exports you share.
Other services and devices
Bodyvault can work with Apple Health, Health Connect, Google Drive, an AI provider you choose, and devices and apps from other companies. Those companies run them under their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren’t responsible for them. What a device or app shares with Bodyvault depends on that device or app.
Using Bodyvault fairly
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Bodyvault for yourself. Don’t copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app, its food and exercise data or this website, except where the law allows it. Food data, exercise illustrations and other content come from the sources credited in the app, under their licences.
No warranty, and limits on liability
We work to make Bodyvault accurate and reliable, but it is provided “as is”: scores, food values and suggestions can be wrong or incomplete, and the app may sometimes not work. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of Bodyvault. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law doesn’t allow us to exclude, or limits your rights as a consumer.
Changes and ending
We may update Bodyvault and these terms. When the terms change, we update this page and its date, and if you keep using Bodyvault after that, the new terms apply. You can stop using Bodyvault at any time by deleting the app; cancel any subscription separately.
