Common questions
How do I restore Pro on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account or Google account you bought Pro with, open Bodyvault and choose Restore purchase on the Pro screen. Purchases don’t move between the App Store and Google Play.
How does the free trial work?
Yes. New subscribers to Pro Monthly get 7 days free, once per Apple Account or Google account. Start the trial on the Pro screen in the app. To pay nothing, cancel before it ends: on iPhone at least 24 hours before, on Android any time before. Otherwise the subscription starts when the trial ends and renews every month. Pro Lifetime is a single payment, so it has no trial.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews to avoid the next charge; Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
How do I get a refund?
Apple and Google handle payments and refunds. For the App Store, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, follow Google Play’s refund steps.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
On your old phone, export a .bodyvault backup or back up to your Google Drive. Install Bodyvault on the new phone and restore the backup. This works between iPhone and Android.
I forgot my backup passphrase
We can’t recover it. Your phone encrypts the backup with your passphrase, and we never have a copy of either. If your old phone still has your data, make a new backup with a new passphrase.
How do I connect my watch, ring or scale?
Open Connect a device in the app and choose your device. Most connect through Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android: let your device’s app write to Health, then let Bodyvault read it. Heart-rate straps, some scales and Bluetooth FTMS treadmills and bikes connect directly over Bluetooth.
Why does Readiness say it needs more data?
Readiness compares you with your own baseline, so it needs at least 7 nights of HRV and resting heart rate first. Wear your watch or ring to sleep, and make sure its app shares HRV, resting heart rate and sleep with Apple Health or Health Connect.
What happened to the beta and the Research Program?
Both ended when Bodyvault arrived on the App Store and Google Play. See the Research Program page.

Your data is on your phone. See Deleting everything in the privacy policy.
